These grocery store cats are clearly in charge… at least in their own minds. It isn’t uncommon to see cats in grocery stores, and there are even cat cafes that have been gaining in popularity.
I can certainly see why, considering how adorable these grocery store cats are. I’d love to be greeted by a grocery store cat any day!
The Store Opens in 10 Minutes, Sir
Sorry, sir. You’ll have to wait ten more minutes before you can come inside. I can’t give you special preference just because you leave me cat treats every now and then.
There is a One Per Customer Limit on Toilet Paper!
In these trying times, grocery stores are having to resort to any kind of toilet paper security they can find. The only problem is that there is always the chance the cat might try to shred the toilet paper first.
You Need to Social Distance, Ma’am
Even cats understand the importance of social distancing! Six feet minimum, no matter your size. Even if cats can’t catch COVID-19, it’s still far better to be safe than sorry.
Kitty Surveillance System, Engaged
You’d better think twice before trying to pilfer something from any store that has a kitty surveillance system installed! They also make for excellent mousers.
If Plastic is Nearby, a Cat is Going to Find It
What’s the deal with cats eating plastic? Seriously. I had a kitty who lived to be 21 years old, and boy, did she love to munch on plastic! I sadly lost her to the rainbow bridge last year, and I still find little ‘nibble’ memories of her here and there. ❤️
Cat Litter is on Aisle Ten! But May I Interest You in These Lovely Catnip Toys or Kitty Treats Instead?
You know how it goes. You go to a grocery store with a specific list–say, cat litter and cat food, and then you leave with an entire cat tree instead.
Why Have Cookies When You Can Take Me Home Instead?
Actually, please don’t steal a grocery store cat if you see one. Ask the owner of the store if they’re available for adoption first! In fact, many cat cafes feature cats who are available for adoption and exist specifically to give you the chance to interact with them.
This is My New Home. Go away.
It looks like this kitty has claimed her new territory! She’s far cuter than any cookies you might find in a grocery store anyway.
I Need to See Your ID!
You’re not getting past this cutie of a kitty without showing your ID first!
Which Flavor Did You Need?
It’s okay if you can’t reach it–our kitty store associate can! We’ve even installed a special ladder for that very purpose. Ok, so it’s really just a store cabinet, but hey.
Here’s Your Change! We Hope You Come Back to See Us Again Soon
You can’t end any shopping trip without paying for your goods, and how fantastic would it be if this sweet face was the one who helped you along the way?
If you’d like to see even more grocery store cats, you can find them on Instagram.
